I love the idea that you can turn a hobby into a business. Why wouldn’t I? It's exactly what I have done! My guest today has done similar, turning his hobby for adventure racing and mountain biking into a business called Orange Mud. It's not your typical triathlon podcast, but if you’ve ever wanted to turn your hobby into a business this is a podcast you must listen to. Oh, and Josh is a real fun guy as well.
Josh Sprague founded the company in 2012 making hydration packs that he could use in events, and has since turned it into a fast expanding apparel company.
In today's conversation Josh and I discuss boat load of topics including:
- Why his business is called Orange Mud
- Making ‘life’ work for you
- The $25,000 hand-made product that started the company
- Working full time and running a business
- The Orange Mud ambassador programme and how they came to have over 300 ambassadors
- Being a “lifestyle entrepreneur”
To find out more about OrangeMud (or to check out their product lines) visit their UK website OrangeMud.co.uk or if you are in the US then visit OrangeMud.com. You can find Josh on Instagram #orangemud, Twitter @orangemud, and Facebook @orangemud.
